WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 3, 2016) – The PCA Club Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport Trophy East series announced today that Hawk Performance will be a new sponsor for the inaugural season of the semi-professional racing series.
This new partnership has a primary focus on branding, with the Hawk Performance decal being placed on each Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport car through the 2016 season.
As the cars take to the track at Watkins Glen International (WGI) June 3-5, each car will carry the new decal on both fenders. WGI marks the third race of the season for the series, which features exciting competition in the new, track-only Cayman GT4 Clubsport race car.
“We’re absolutely ecstatic to gain this new partnership with Hawk Performance,” said Allen Shirley, GT4 Clubsport Trophy East Series coordinator and PCA national steward. “The branding awareness is great for both the company and our semi-professional series.”
Hawk Performance is part of the parent company, Carlisle Companies Incorporated, that designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of industrial and construction material products. Hawk Performance manufactures brakes for heavy equipment, such as Caterpillar Cranes, Komatsu, and other off-road vehicles.
“Hawk Performance is proud to be a sponsor of PCA and the GT4 Trophy East Series,” said Dave Roberts, executive chairman of Carlisle Companies. “We think it’s exciting to have a chance to bring new drivers in to this series, and we’re happy to support it.”
Hawk Performance also sponsors Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) and Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA).
