About PCA Club Racing Trophy East Series

The PCA Club Racing Trophy East series, which debuted in 2016, highlights the spirit of PCA Club Racing and the skills of its drivers at major road racing venues east of the Rocky Mountains. The series provides a bridge for Porsche racers to climb to the professional ranks through this semi-professional racing championship backed by primary sponsor Pirelli Tire North America, the official tire provider for the series.

Drivers compete in a separate group during PCA event weekends in the track-only Cayman GT4 Clubsport race car, and 2018 will see the addition of 991.1 GT3 Cup and 997.2 GT3 Cup cars. Entries included in the 991.1 and 997.2 classes include 2013-2016 GTC6s (excluding the Supercup 991.1) and 2010-2014 GTC5s, respectively.

Racing in the PCA Club Racing Trophy East Series is divided into two championships per car class – Championship class and Masters class for drivers ages 57 and older. Drivers are awarded with a podium at the end of every race weekend as part of their combined results in three different races, two 30-minute sprint features and an 80-minute endurance race. An individual champion will be crowned at the end of the season. Points are awarded by finish in class.

About Porsche Club of America/PCA Club Racing

The Porsche Club of America (PCA) celebrates good friends, good conversation and a common passion for the world’s finest automobile – Porsche. Since its founding in 1955, this close-knit community of Porsche owners has grown to 143 regions throughout the United States and Canada and is the largest single-marque club in the world. PCA activities include racing, rallies, autocrosses, tours, and shows, as well as driver education, Porsche restoration and technical sessions. The PCA continues to thrive around the unbridled joy provided by Porsche.

PCA Club Racing commemorates over 25 years of camaraderie by featuring more than 2,000 licensed racers and 32 sanctioned races per year, more than any other single-make racing organization in the world. PCA Club Racing was established around guiding principles that remain true today. In summary, they provide a class for all Porsche sports cars; fun, safe and clean racing; and uniform organization and operation.
